20th Anniversary

Let’s take a trip down memory lane… Back in 2001, JDL was one man, his bike, a van, and big 

dreams. Our very first client was the high fashion iconic label Gucci, and we were extremely 

honoured to be able to transport their high-value consignments across the country. 

 

We’ve delivered thousands of important parcels, from time-sensitive goods to temperature- 

controlled shipments to highly confidential documents. Whatever you needed transporting 

we have been there to help! Clients since our first have included Kent Police, Southern 

Water, XPO Logistics, and many, many more. As well as the big names, we pride ourselves 

on being able to cater to the individual and we are just as proud to have been able to 

provide our services to small businesses and private customers, no matter how big or small 

the parcel. As we like to say, we’re big enough to cope but small enough to care! 

 

Growth from then has only ever been in an upwards direction as we built up a reputation as 

the professional, reliable, friendly, accommodating and competitively priced company that 

we are. We have delivered and transported goods across many industry sectors, including 

Construction, Logistics, Supply chains, Manufacturing, Storage and Distribution, IT, Food and 

Drink, Pharmaceutical, Finance, Police, NHS, Military, Retail, and of course many small 

businesses and individuals. 

 

From one bike and one van, our fleet has expanded significantly. We now operate 

motorcycles, cars, small, medium and large vans, including short wheelbase and long- 

wheelbase vans, Luton tail lifts, flatbeds, curtain-sided tail lifts, refrigerated and freezer 

vans, HIAB and HGV lorries. We have also kept up with the times and all our vehicles are 

fitted with the latest app-based tracking technology, so we can provide you with real-time 

updates on the whereabouts of your parcel and proof of delivery. 

 

Our list of services has also grown exponentially, and we cater for same-day (within the 

hour) and next-day delivery across the UK, Europe and Internationally. We’ve even 

upgraded our services to include temperature-controlled and pallet delivery so we can help 

you with sending anything from skincare products to food items to furniture. We are always 

here to help and answer your questions, if you need to speak with someone. 

 

The Covid-19 pandemic has been tough on all of us, not least JDL – but we pulled through 

together and we did our part for the community by delivering local, fresh essential food 

hampers to those in need during the spring lockdown. We were even featured on BBC South 

East News about the hampers and our essential delivery service. 

 

From 20 years of service and all of the wonderful clients we’ve had, we want to say a huge 

thank you to each and every one of you for supporting us along the journey on out anniversary.
